South African Adventure Photo Essay
We had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit the beautiful country of South Africa with Go Touch Down Tours. Our first safari adventure included early morning and late afternoon game drives through the beautiful Songimvelo Game Reserve.
Every time we left Humala River Lodge nestled deep within the reserve, we were treated to gifts from Mother Nature. We ventured across open areas in view of the Green Stone Mountains dating back well over 3 billion years.
We bounced along worn tracks in our safari vehicle, stopping, turning off the engine and sitting quietly as we watched a dazzle of zebras grazing in a nearby field or as graceful towering giraffes looked at us with curiosity as they nibbled on leaves from nearby trees.
We witnessed breathtaking sunsets during early evening game drives as we were treated to a chorus of night sounds.
Once we left the reserve and headed to the city of Cape Town and the surrounding area, we discovered world-class wines, friendly people, a vibrant food scene, and breathtaking landscapes.
Join us as we share some photos of this adventure in International Food Wine Travel Magazine.
